Rocky Mountain Whitewater Rafting operates from 1801 Miner Street in Idaho Springs, Colorado, and makes its ownership the point of difference: it is owned by guides and only employs guides who, in its own words, are serious about staying safe and having fun. Its guides average five years of guiding experience, some are local and all have run multiple rivers in Colorado and internationally, every one is trained in first aid and CPR, and each is put through training on the sections they will run, with most trained across the full range the company offers. In winter and the shoulder seasons some of the staff work as ski patrollers and teachers while others go abroad to guide, which the company calls living the dream of an endless summer. Walk-in visitors are invited to call at the shop. No founding year and no individual owner is named.
