Flathead Lake Charters

Flathead Lake Charters runs half-day and full-day lake trout charters on Flathead Lake out of Woods Bay near Bigfork, Montana. Trips use one of two Grady White boats, a 22-footer and a 20-footer, both with cuddy cabins, and run May through October. Half-day trips last four and a half hours and full-day trips run nine hours, with clients targeting mackinaw (lake trout) and Lake Superior whitefish. Each charter includes tackle, safety equipment, snacks and bottled water. Children age six and under fish at no charge, and those seven and older fish as paying guests. The operation reports frequent catches of ten-to-fifteen-pound lake trout, with some fish exceeding twenty pounds.
