Wilson Reservoir is the home lake and the reason the trip exists: it is the one lake in Kansas holding striped bass, and the service is built around them. Cheney Reservoir and Tuttle Creek Lake are worked in the same rotation, along with Cedar Bluff, Glen Elder, Kanopolis, Milford, Marion and El Dorado. The boat is twenty six feet long and rated for thirteen people, steadier than a pontoon and faster and smoother with it, and it is rigged with four Garmin screens, three Panoptix LiveScope units and a Garmin Force trolling motor under a double Bimini top. That much sonar is what lets a party stay on suspended, moving schools across open reservoir water.
