The Blackwell family has held a Riverways concession since 1973 at Jadwin Canoe Rental, and the family’s roots at the Akers Ferry crossing reach back to the middle 1800s. Alongside boat hire and shuttles the operation runs a general store, sells firewood and camp supplies, and works with Jason Place Campground for guests staying overnight.
