Parks Bluff Campground
Lesterville, Missouri · Fishes Black River
Parks Bluff sends floaters down a 6-mile stretch of the Black River at Lesterville, the clear, gravel-bottomed water draining the St. Francois Mountains above Clearwater Lake. Departures are staggered between 9am and 11am depending on which craft a party takes, from four-, six- and eight-man rafts to canoes, single and tandem kayaks, paddleboards and tubes, and a bus handles the float transportation. One cooler is permitted per raft, cooler tubes are available to rent, and animals are not allowed in the rafts. Smallmouth, rock bass and bluegill hold in the shaded pools under the bluff.
