Asheville Anglers Guide Service

Asheville Anglers Guide Service is based at Weaverville, North Carolina, just north of Asheville, and is owned by Travis Honeycutt. The guides are described on the business’s own pages as highly experienced, CPR certified and natives of the Appalachian region. Five rivers make up the programme: the French Broad, the Pigeon, the South Holston, the Tuckasegee and the Watauga, a mix that pairs big warmwater float rivers with cold tailwater trout fishing. Across that range the service fishes for trout, including browns and rainbows, along with smallmouth bass, striped bass and musky, and its river notes run to specifics of the trout hatches: scuds, blue-winged olives, midge larvae, sulphurs and caddis. The larger rivers are worked from drift boats and jet boats, while the tailwaters bring wading into play, and bookings are handled directly with the owner rather than through a shop counter.
