Guided days on the Salt are sold in two shapes. Float trips run $750 for a full day of eight hours or more and $475 for a four-hour half day, offered both morning and afternoon; walk-and-wade days are $600 full and $350 for either half-day slot. Pricing is figured by the boat rather than per person, with a maximum of two anglers per guide, so a pair pays the same as a single rod. All tackle, flies and fly fishing equipment are included, lunch comes with full days and snacks and drinks with halves. The fish are Snake River cutthroat and brown trout, with a few other trout species mixed in. The outfitter gives late June through October as the best window to float.
