McKinnie Fly Fishing Outfitters of Montana
Philipsburg, Montana · Fishes Rock Creek
Rock Creek sits about twenty miles outside Philipsburg, which puts this outfitter on the upper river above the Clinton canyon, and the way it is fished follows the river’s own rule: exceptional wade fishing, or a float before the first of July. The pitch is epic stonefly hatches and strong dry fly water through the season, with Georgetown Lake in the same backyard. The trips sold on it are half and full day wade days for one or two anglers, full day floats, multi boat group floats for larger parties, and overnight camp and float combinations. Lunch, snacks, beverages, flies and tackle are included and the Montana licence is left to the angler. Private casting instruction is available alongside the guided days.
