Pacific Drifter Guide Service
Gresham, Oregon · Fishes Clackamas River, Nehalem River
Two rivers carry this listing. On the Clackamas the coho fishing is called exceptional from September through October with the run continuing into November, and the drift is from Milo McIver State Park down to the mouth at Gladstone, thirty minutes from the guide’s own door, which is the reason his page gives for knowing where to put a presentation. Winter steelhead there begin in January and hold into April, peaking in late February and March. The Nehalem is the other half: a vast drainage fed by tributary creeks for miles upriver, worked from the bay to the upper river for winter steelhead, fall chinook and coho, and a system he says he has fished since he was a kid.
