Big D River Guide
Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania · Fishes Delaware River
Trips are run from a Snyder 2175 jet boat built for Captain Dieter Scheel, drawing seven inches off plane and three and a half on it so that shallow, rocky water stays reachable. Shad trips begin and end at the public boat ramp in Lambertville, New Jersey and run about four hours; striper trips may instead leave from the dirt ramp at Firemen’s Eddy a mile south on Route 29; summer smallmouth trips leave from the club ramp just south of the Milford bridge. Smallmouth and multi-species days run four to five hours or six to eight for two to four anglers. A valid Pennsylvania or New Jersey licence is required and all tackle is supplied.
