Teton Troutfitters
Jackson, Wyoming · Fishes Snake River
Teton Troutfitters floats the Snake River from South Park to Alpine, thirty-five miles of braided channels running through the Bridger-Teton National Forest south of Grand Teton National Park, out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Half days launch at South Park Landing at 8:00 and finish at a mid-canyon pull-off by 12:15 for $700 per boat; full days run the same put-in through to the Alpine boat ramp, 8:00 to 2:30, for $800. Hand-built drift boats carry two anglers apiece, and the season runs April through November with July into September the busiest stretch. Native cutthroat trout are the fish, worked over pale morning duns, caddis, hoppers and baetis through the year. Rates cover the guide, the boat, flies, leaders and tippet, rods and reels, waders, boots and life jackets, the Wyoming fishing license, gratuity, transportation from the hotel, national park access, and a streamside lunch on full days.
