Harris Anglers is a full-service fly fishing outfitter based out of Sandy, Oregon. Todd Harris owns it and works as head guide, with more than 20 years guiding behind him in Oregon and on Alaska’s Kenai River. The year is organized into three programs: summer steelhead from August into November, winter steelhead from November through April, and trout from late April into July. Waters beyond the one the business is best known for include the Clackamas, Trask, Nestucca and Wilson rivers along with other north coast steelhead destinations. Spey rod casting instruction is offered both to people picking up a two-handed rod for the first time and to anglers who already fish one, and the owner describes his approach as patient and enthusiastic.
