River of Life Farm
Dora, Missouri · Fishes North Fork of the White River
Guided fly and spin trips run on the North Fork River in the Missouri Ozarks, in the Rainbow Springs and Double Springs stretch, and the water is fished for rainbow and brown trout in every month of the year. A full day takes one to eight anglers and is priced at $450 for one or two people and $500 for three, while a half day is set at 75 percent of the full-day rate. The guide fee covers the boat and shuttle along with streamside lunches and snacks; fly rods, tackle and waders are available as rentals. Rusty Doughty and Brian Wise are among the guides, and flies are tied specifically for this river. Bookings take a 50 percent deposit, refundable less a $25 fee with 30 or more days of notice. A day often begins with a shuttle upriver so the float works back down toward the cabins.
