Deckers sits on the South Platte tailwater below Cheesman Reservoir, about an hour southwest of Denver and an easy drive from Colorado Springs, and the water there is fished under commercial use permits from Denver Water. Days at Deckers are guided walk and wade outings on a stretch the outfitter credits with excellent hatches and heavy trout numbers. A full day runs 8:30am to 4:30pm and includes rental rod, reel and waders, terminal tackle, flies, beverages, lunch and dessert. A half day is four hours and can be scheduled in the morning, the afternoon or the evening, with the same equipment and terminal tackle covered. Full-day pricing is $550 for one angler, $650 for two and $800 for three; half days are $400, $500 and $650. Corporate and group outings of eight or more run one guide to every two anglers, at $325 per person for a full day and $225 for a half. Reservations take a 50 percent non-refundable deposit.
