Big Green Lake is fished for what its deep, cold water holds – lake trout and white bass are the named quarry, and the cold-water character of the fishery is the reason the trips are built the way they are. The boat is a forty-five foot pontoon with toilet facilities, a gas grill and wheelchair access, which puts a party of up to twelve on the water in comfort rather than putting two anglers on the bow of a bass boat. Four hours costs $475, six hours $650 and eight hours $775, each covering three adults with $25 for every additional person; children under sixteen fish free. The guide, all bait and tackle, and fish cleaning and bagging are included. Anglers need a Wisconsin licence with an inland trout stamp, and are told to bring layers and leave the flip-flops at home.
