NRO runs four set floats on the Niangua below Bennett Spring: 4 miles from Bennett to NRO at one to three hours by canoe, 7 miles from NRO to Rendezvous Point, 11 miles from Bennett to Rendezvous Point, and a 14-mile run from NRO down to Oldhams Riverview that takes four to five hours in a canoe or kayak and six to eight in a raft. The fleet covers standard and ABS canoes, three-seat canoes, kayaks, four- and six-man rafts and inner tubes. Cold water out of Bennett Spring keeps rainbow trout in the upper miles, with smallmouth and longear sunfish through the gravel runs downstream. Last take-out is 6pm, dropping to 5pm after Labor Day.
