Lake Hartwell is the only water fished, and it is reached from Anderson, about thirty miles down Interstate 85 from the Greenville area. The boat is a twenty four foot centre console rigged with current electronics and seating enough that as many as four anglers fish comfortably at once. Morning and evening trips are sold, and the lake is worked all year, seven days a week, rather than for a short striper season. Striped bass and hybrids are the targets and largemouth bass turn up as a bonus. Anglers need a valid South Carolina resident or non-resident licence; nobody under sixteen needs one.
