Bath, North Carolina · Fishes Pamlico River, Roanoke River
Two very different fisheries sit under one booking. On the Roanoke the boat runs out of Weldon for the spring striper spawning migration, mid-April through mid-May, on a lengthened half day of about five hours starting in the morning when the bite is best, capped at three anglers and fished anywhere from live bait through subsurface and topwater artificials on conventional gear to topwater fly. On the Pamlico the calendar peaks March to June and again September to November, fished on light-action spinning or fly, with shots at 25-to-30-inch stripers on top and a Grand Slam of three species in a day.
