Santee Cooper Fishing Guide

Charters run on Lake Marion, a hundred and ten thousand six hundred acres of it, and on Lake Moultrie, sixty thousand four hundred acres, the two impoundments that make up the Santee Cooper system. The boat is a twenty five foot Crest tri-toon with an enclosure, which keeps a party fishing in weather that would end a day in an open hull. One trip is sold: eight hours, seven in the morning until three in the afternoon. One to three anglers pay three hundred and fifty dollars, four pay four hundred, five pay four hundred and fifty and six pay five hundred. Boat, tackle, bait and a bag of ice are furnished. Channel, blue and flathead catfish are the targets, with largemouth bass and black crappie also available.
