Four Rivers Fishing Company

The Ruby is guided as a tailwater below Ruby Reservoir, and the shop points anglers at the upper seven miles from the dam down to the town of Sheridan, water it calls very accommodating to the wading angler. It reads as a smaller version of the Beaverhead, a tailwater whose dense insect life carries spring baetis and blue wings, caddis swarms through May and June, and terrestrial fishing from midsummer into fall, with streamers swung, stripped, jigged, dead drifted and twitched. The Jefferson is the drift boat river: seventy seven miles from the confluence at Twin Bridges down to Three Forks, including a forty mile stretch running to the Lewis and Clark Caverns, fished over caddis, baetis, summer stones, flying ants and hoppers, with a well regarded autumn streamer bite.
