Fisheads of the San Juan
Navajo Dam, New Mexico
Fisheads of the San Juan is an Orvis-endorsed lodge and fly shop at Navajo Dam, New Mexico, a small settlement that exists because of the tailwater below the reservoir. The guide service dates back more than 25 years, with the lodge itself opened in the early 2010s. Several lodging options are offered, including the associated Quality Waters Inn, and home-cooked meals are part of the all-inclusive stay. An on-site fly shop supplies gear and flies, and a restaurant at Navajo Dam is part of the operation as well. The business coordinates group trips at group rates, sells gift certificates and publishes fishing reports.
