Kenai Drift Anglers
Soldotna, Alaska · Fishes Kenai River
Kenai Drift Anglers runs guided days on two rivers from Soldotna on the Kenai Peninsula. The Kenai is fished from a custom Willie powerboat set up with heated seats, memory foam seating and a walk through layout, working the upper, middle and lower sections for trout as well as salmon. The Kasilof is drift only water with no motorized vessels on it, fished from a nineteen foot Willie drift boat added in 2025 that carries a bow heater and the same walk through design. The calendar follows the runs: king salmon on the Kasilof from mid May, sockeye building on the Kasilof through June while the Russian River run starts on the Kenai, a July peak that can push more than 100,000 sockeye a day, sockeye and the first silvers in August, and peak coho fishing through September and October with far fewer boats around. Pink salmon fill in from late July in even numbered years. Rainbow trout and Dolly Varden round out the target list. Trips are $295 per person and include the boat, the guide, and cleaning and filleting the catch.
