Cross Current Outfitters

Cross Current works the Upper Delaware system from the Shehawken access on the West Branch, with the East Branch and the main stem the other two pieces. Days run either wading or from a drift boat depending on daily conditions rather than being sold as one or the other. The trout year runs April through late October, with wild brown, rainbow, and brook trout the quarry, and the shop publishes a hatch calendar for the system so anglers can see what is due. Smallmouth bass become the target from late June through the end of October, fish that reach past twenty inches and four or five pounds and answer with runs and jumps; striped bass turn up in the same water. Full days are $600 for up to two anglers and include lunch and soft drinks, and half days are $400 with soft drinks. Orvis rods and reels are on hand for anglers who want to use them.
