Beaver Lake in north west Arkansas is the water, fished for striped bass from a large centre console boat, with walleye taken on the lake and trout on the tailwater below it. A half day is five hours and a full day eight. Boat, bait, tackle and fuel are all found, and the catch is processed at the end of the trip with free delivery to a taxidermist for anything worth mounting. Two children of twelve and under fish free when they come out with an adult. The fishing is at its best early and late in the day, and the operation’s own seasonal notes run from March through August, tracking the striper through the year rather than working one pattern.
