North Texas Catfish Guide Service

Brazos River trips launch from the Tin Top boat ramp about twenty minutes west of Fort Worth and work the water from the mouth of Lake Granbury upriver, a stretch the guide service describes as breathtaking scenery in an area with almost no urban development. Anglers ride a SeaArk ProCat 240 catfish boat, with a 20-foot Air Ranger airboat covering skinnier water. Blue, channel and flathead catfish are all on the card, and flatheads produce excellent fishing during spring, summer and early fall. Bookings run four hours at $375 for one or two anglers, a five-hour option at $450, and a 6.5-hour trophy day at $575, each $100 per additional person. Rods, bait, tackle and fish cleaning are included on standard trips.
