Wade trips run three distinct pieces of the Provo. The Middle Provo, fifteen miles east of Park City, is the tailwater below Jordanelle Reservoir, a cobblestone bottomed reach rebuilt with meanders and in stream structure that carries mayfly, caddis, stonefly and midge hatches. The Lower Provo, about thirty minutes southeast, runs out of Deer Creek Reservoir through a limestone canyon and holds a larger average fish on sow bugs, scuds and midges, with blue winged olives in spring and pale morning duns in summer. The Upper Provo, thirty minutes east along the Mirror Lake Highway on National Forest ground, is free flowing and fishes best early and through summer, holding brook and cutthroat up high and brown and rainbow lower down. Half days are $330 for one angler and $410 for two; full days are $485 and $545 and add a shore lunch. Two anglers per guide is the cap.
