Unicoi Outfitters

Unicoi Outfitters is a north Georgia fly shop and guide service with locations at Sautee Nacoochee just outside Helen and at Clarkesville. Its guided trip menu covers the Chattahoochee along with the Soque, Smith Creek, Dukes Creek and the region’s delayed harvest water. Public water trout trips are wade trips, priced from $240 for a half day and $345 for a full day, with the rate rising by party size. The shop also books private water trophy trout days, a learn to fly fish outing aimed at people picking up a rod for the first time, river bass floats of about six hours, Lake Lanier striper trips of about five hours and reservoir bass half days. Species across the full schedule include trout, striped bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, shoal bass and redeye bass. Trip lengths on the calendar run three hours, roughly four hours for a half day, five hours on the striper boat and about eight hours for a full day.
