White River Family Fishing
Flippin, Arkansas · Fishes White River
White River Family Fishing guides trout trips on the White River in north central Arkansas, working the water around Bull Shoals and Mountain Home. The boats are purpose built and unusually large, five feet longer and about a quarter larger than a standard river boat, which lets one boat carry six guests and the guide, and a full eight hour day can cover thirty to fifty miles of river. Three trip lengths are offered: a two hour outing starting at 4 p.m., and half and full days that launch at 7 a.m., run Tuesday through Saturday. Two hour trips run $480 to $670 depending on party size, half days $540 to $750 and full days $600 to $900, with a sixth angler free. A sandwich lunch comes with the fee, or for $20 more per person the guide cooks a shore lunch from the day’s catch alongside a meat alternative, baked beans and fries with onions. Rainbow, brown, brook and cutthroat trout are all in the river. Parties are never combined, and the outfit states that everybody catches a fish or they do not pay.
